Public Works Department

The Public Works Department is responsible for the upkeep and constant repair to all City owned property, provide a 24-hour, 7 days a weeks on-call service, and continue to work on scheduled projects throughout the year.
The Public Works Department is made up of three full-time and one part-time personnel. The employees have combined time of service to the City of 77 years.
For several years the Public Works Department has strived to become as self-sufficient as possible, thus making it possible to better serve the community.
Much of the equipment used daily was designed and manufactured "in house" by department members, i.e. pavement rollers, screens for winter sand, sidewalk sander, utility trailers, just to name a few.
The staff of the Public Works Department take great pride in their department, services they provide, as well as in completed projects.
